The Ziggy Elite Nomad gas barbeque does have a flame safeguard so it can be connected to the consumer piping or gas supply system of a boat or caravan (as required by AS/NZS 5601.2 and AS/NZS 5263.1.7).
Flame failure valves have a sensor probe in the burner flame. When the burner is alight, the sensor probe is heated which creates a signal back to the valve to stay open. If the flame blows out, the sensor probe cools down, in turn shutting down the gas flow at the valve.

Unfortunately, not. Flame Failure Technology is only available on the Ziggy Elite Nomad Series. The flame failure model has a number of different parts to the standard model including the valve, burner, cooking grill, sensor probe and heatshields. Gas valve changes can only be done by an authorised person. It is not a viable option to convert a standard model to flame failure.
The Ziggy Elite Nomad comes factory fitted with an LCC27 hose and regulator so it is ready to connect to the latest version propane gas cylinders. Initial connection to the gas supply of a boat or caravan must be done only by an authorised person such as a licensed gasfitter. The boat or caravan supply and fittings must be checked and the LCC27 hose and regulator changed over to match the boat or caravan fittings.
Often the fitting used in a boat or caravan will be a bayonet fitting. Your local Barbeques Galore store can supply item HTG1-5LP which is a 1.5m bayonet propane gas hose for that application or you can buyOnline.

Safety Protection LCC27
As of 2022 new barbeques manufactured have changed to have theLCC27 regulator as standard. The new LCC27 valve has an integral safety cut-off which stops any flow of gasunless the regulator is properly connected.
This Barbeque is fitted with the LCC27 hose to follow the regulations so you will need a LCC27 gas cylinder to operate.
The new system does not negate the need to be careful with gas and gas cylinders, so its still important to follow all guidelines and check for leaks.

Its high domed hood is a unique roll-back design unique to the Ziggy Nomad allowing for incrediblycompant storage and transportation with a hood rolls back right under the BBQ. With the hood rolled bck, the hood and cooking grill locks into place making it simple to carry and safe even over the roughest of terrain.
To assist with Low n' Slow cooking the Ziggy comes with an adjustable vent on the rear of the hood. Decrease the temperature in the BBQ by sliding the vent left to open it. Increase the temperature inside the BBQ by sliding the vent to the right to close it.
